Good morning! Happy Tuesday! Today I want to show a little love to our resident fashion expert, Kim, aka my personal shopper. She had an exciting event last month I’ve been dying to share with you: the launch of her brand, Catch 22 Boutique!
I met Kim through my good friend, Shareta (pictured below on the right).
I love having friends as driven as Kim and Shareta. They both have an entrepuernial spirit and both of them have really encouraged Fit for a Bride. They even convinced me to have businesss cards made prior to this event, and Kim included them in her goody bags! That was really nice of her — thanks Kim!
The event was really nice. It took place at Studio 52 in DC. They even did a clothing swap, wherein women brought items of their own to donate, and in exchange, they got to take home something someone else brought in. It was a really cool concept! (I totally forget to bring anything, but I enjoyed taking a peak through the clothes!)
There was food and drinks from Metro City Wing House, which was excellent, and they had Drew Xeron, a professional photographer there to snap photos in front of the official backdrop with all the logos of the sponsors of the event on it! I was very impressed!
Before I left the event, Kim gave me another clothing installment, too! I tried on the pieces as soon as I got home and really like them. I got a blazer and loafers from Gap, and a top from Target, which I totally wore the very next night to the mall and dinner with friends.
Aren’t those stripes flats so fun? I love them!
I’m super proud of Kim and glad to support her business. If you get a chance, check out her website and all the consignment pieces she’s currently offering!
Kim wanted to make sure I mentioned her sponsors. They’re listed below!
Space: Studio 52 / Photographer & Loft Owner: Drew Xeron / Food: Metro city wing house (no website) / Rum cake & Caterer: Caribbean cafe
Looks like a great party! And I LOVE LOVE that outfit! Those shoes would go with my blazer! Are those available at Gap now?? I have to look!
Monica I am pretty sure they are from the Gap Factory! If I see them anywhere I’ll pick up a pair for you! They’re so comfy!
Love the article! Thanks Sara :)!
