Four Fit Ways to Start Your Wedding Day

It’s almost been a year since my wedding day, which is very hard to believe! Thinking back, there are few things I would change, but I do remember the craziness that ensued that morning with hair, makeup, and the fuss of the bridesmaids and family gathering around! It was a lovely morning but to be honest, I didn’t put too much thought into how it’d go. I knew there was a timeline to keep, but I didn’t do anything for my health! For my sanity! Here are some ideas for ways you can start your day with a little more intention:

1. Drink Water: I always want coffee first thing in the morning, but know what’s better? Water! And if you need to de-bloat (from rehearsal dinner fun, maybe?!) you should try this Chia Seed & Supergreen Coconut Water drink. It’s fiber-filled so it will keep you full through your busy morning, and those chia seeds will give you a glowing boost of energy!

2. Take a brisk walk or a short jog: I know time is of the essence on the morning of your wedding, but fresh air is proven to boost moods and bring about a smile. Take ten minutes and take a walk around outside your hotel. I know it’s risky to run, but if you have time, you could even go for a brief run. You might be thinking, “RUN?” Yes! Run! You’re going to probably have a lot of pent up energy and nervousness– I know I did– and the run will definitely give you a sense of calm!

3. Do some yoga! Need I say more?

4. Write in your journal. I am so thankful that I took a few minutes to write a post for Weddingbee the morning of my wedding. Whenever I read it, I go right back there! I can remember the butterflies in my stomach and even the tears I shed reading the post to my bridesmaids.
