Morning friends! How are you? I’m feeling sluggish this morning myself! And I’m having a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that it’s Monday and a new week is upon us! I heard on the radio this morning that for a lot of people, New Year’s resolutions are wearing off and the winter blues are setting in! Are you feeling this? I sure am!
I had a pretty uneventful weekend except Friday night we went to Charlestown, West Virginia to hang out with my brother and his wife for the night. We hadn’t seen them since before we left for Florence, so it was great to catchup and hang out. It was my first time going to a Hibachi restaurant and I really loved it – it was so fun and the food was delicious! I had a pineapple chicken fried rice! Yum!
We returned home pretty early Saturday and spent the day hanging around the house. We were pretty lazy on Sunday, too. I had big plans to make it to Open Gym or Yoga (something!) but we slept late and none of that happened – hello winter blues!
We did make it out to Whole Foods & Shoppers at one point to pick up a surprise cake for my in-laws. They celebrated 40 years married yesterday. 40 YEARS! What an amazing inspiration!
The cake was delicious but to be honest: I’ve been on a sugar overload lately! I’ve been doing my usual salads and making healthy dinners, but I’ve been overdoing it after lunch and dinner with sugary snacks and treats. I’m working on a March sugar detox! GET READY! (Yep, cause I want you to do it with me!)
Of course we waited till it started snowing to leave the house yesterday, which made it kind of fun! I got to wear this big sweater headband I love, but never feel appropraite wearing, unless it’s snowing!
In other news, I’m getting a new logo! Woohoo! My good friend Joy opened back up for business at the end of last year, and added lettering services to her repertoire! (This girl is seriously talented!) I really love what I’ve seen so far and I’ve been falling asleep each night day dreaming about my new and improved website! I guess that’s what you call #bloggerproblems.

This weekend I also caught an interesting survery in Weight Watchers magazine on what prompts people to lose weight. The majority (59%) said seeing a photo of themselves is what did the trick! I could relate to this as I’ve taken several “before” photos, posted them around the house or saved them as the background on my phone… It got me wondering if you’ve ever done anything like that.
